This is not a sob story. It’s a story about how Two Brothers find a sport that fills their lives with happiness, freedom, inspiration, and a new idea for a family business. "Sure, It sounds dandy!" you may say, but a lot of tears and fear of the unknown went into this dream.
It all started at a Super Sprint Chicago triathlon where one of the brothers competed in his first triathlon. Running and biking for a few years before that, triathlon was the next logical step. Even though a Super Sprint is the shortest distance, it was enough to get him hooked. Soon after that first Super Sprint, both brothers caught the Tri Bug and that’s when it all started.
A year after training and racing together, triathlon was in their veins. One suggested to the other:
Konstantin: Hey Max, I have an idea. How about we open an online Triathlon store to spread the healthy bug?
Max: Sounds good, but do you think we can do it?
Konstantin: Of course we can!
Max: Let's do it!
That’s when the idea of the store came to life. After a few long weeks, TriBug was born. TriBug.com launched its website in January of 2008. Both, Max and Konstantin, never owned a business and didn’t really know what needs to be done. For the first few months Tri Bug evolved in a "Let’s see what this does" manner. After trying a lot of different things, it was decided that Customer Service was the thing that will get people excited about triathlons the most.
Not knowing anything else, the Two Brothers made a leap of faith and concentrated on providing the best Customer Service that they could offer. So far, it has worked flawlessly!
The only prize for helping hundreds of customers is feedback they receive. Knowing that they helped others is the only reward necessary.
The brothers train constantly for different events using the same apparel and accessories that they provide for their customers. TriBug might not have the widest selection of items but they do have the best. That means items that were personally selected by the Two Brothers and that have been tested by either one of them.
One of their goals is to get to Kona, it will be a tough road but they look optimistic.
Wish them luck as they do to you, every time they think about TriBug!
Thank you for visiting www.TriBug.com!
